A new upgrade in the little brewery

A new upgrade in the little brewery has been made this week. From now on, A shiny hot liquor tank will handle the sparge water together with a pump.  Hopefully, this will be much smoother and will also increase both quality and yield at future brews.

Tasting of Twist My Amarillo IPA

Tasting of the latest brew, an Amarillo IPA named “Twist My Amarillo” an American IPA (abv 6.8%).  The IPA is basically Amarillo and has since been divided into 2 batches where one was dry hopped with a splash of Nelson Sauvin and the other Mosaic. The one tested today was the one who got a splash of Nelson Sauvin.

Yesterday 100417, I took FG value of the latest brew, an Amarillo IPA. The measurement stopped at 1010 as calculated, giving an abv of 6.8%. Taste, smell, and color were very promising.  The batch has been divided into 2 equal parts and is now dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin in one and Mosaic in the other, both with 20g donors…
